What is inside

  • The cold pitch (short, specific, one idea), the warm pitch after using the product, the reply to a brief

  • The rate and rights answer that does not sound defensive

  • The polite decline, the follow-up after a week, the re-pitch after a no

  • Subject lines, what to attach, what never to say

  • A checklist before you press send

Pitch e-mail templates for creators

Eight short e-mails for the situations that come up, with what to attach, the subject lines that get opened, and the follow-up that is not annoying.

Most pitches fail for one of three reasons: they are about the creator instead of the brand, they ask for a call before giving anything, or they arrive in a DM where nobody with a budget reads them. These eight templates fix all three. Each is short, specific, and gives the brand something before asking for anything.

They are templates in the sense of shape, not script. Replace every bracket; delete every sentence that is not true for you; keep the length. A pitch that is longer than the screen of a phone is not read.

What to have ready before you send any of them: three brand-ready pieces in one place (a pinned collection, a page, a folder with links); one sentence about your audience with a country and a situation ("home cooks in Spain and Mexico, mostly 25–40, cooking on weeknights"); and your rate card for the usual deal (the rate card builder in this library makes one).
