Acceptable use policy

Draft for legal review. Version 2026-10-draft-1, effective 19 October 2026. This policy forms part of the terms of service for brands and for creators.

1. Purpose

ProvenReel is a workspace for real partnerships between brands and creators. This policy lists what is not allowed on it, so that everyone knows where the lines are. The marketplace rules set the content standards; this policy covers everything else.

2. You may not

• use the platform for anything unlawful, or to help someone else do so;
• impersonate a person, brand or ProvenReel, or misrepresent your affiliation, audience or verification status;
• upload malware, attempt to bypass access controls, probe or scan the service, or interfere with its operation;
• scrape, crawl or bulk-export profiles, contacts or content, or use automated access except through documented features;
• send unsolicited messages, cold outreach or marketing to members outside the platform's published outreach mechanisms, or export contact details for that purpose;
• harass, threaten, discriminate against or dox anyone; post sexual content involving minors, or any content that incites violence or hatred;
• infringe intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights of others, including by using music, footage or likenesses without permission;
• manipulate reviews, engagement, attribution or referrals (self-referrals, bought engagement, coupon leakage, fake accounts);
• circumvent fees by moving a collaboration started on the platform off it, where a fee applies;
• share credentials, product-access instructions or confidential information of another organization;
• use AI assistance or any other feature to generate content that violates the human-content policy, or feed it other people's confidential data.

3. Security research

Good-faith security research on your own accounts is welcome: report findings to hello@provenreel.com, do not access other members' data, do not degrade the service, and give us a reasonable time to fix. We will not pursue researchers who follow these rules.

4. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, with a stated reason and a route to appeal. Earnings already due are not withheld by a sanction. Where the law requires, we report to authorities.
