Usage rights and disclosure checklist, market by market

What the content must say, where the label goes, which rights to write down and the official sources to check, for the EU, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Brazil and the United States.

Two things go wrong with creator content more often than anything else: the brand uses it somewhere it never licensed, and the creator publishes it without the label the law requires. Both are avoidable with one page agreed before anyone presses record. This checklist is that page, plus a summary per market of what the label must look like and who enforces it.

It is written from public guidance at the date above. It is not legal advice; rules change, regulators publish new guidance, and the facts of your campaign matter. Where a point has teeth (fines, takedowns, personal liability), we say verify with counsel and link the official source so your lawyer starts from the right text.

How to use it: the rights checklist (chapter 1) goes into every brief and every agreement, in any market. The market summaries (chapters 2 to 8) tell you what to write in the disclosure line of the brief. The two short checklists at the end (chapter 10) are for the day the content goes live and the day the invoice is paid.
